ALDERLEY Edge maintained their nine-point lead in the ECB Premier League with a two-wicket win in a high-scoring game at Didsbury.
Number nine batsman Liam Booth top-scored in Didsbury’s 232 with a fine knock of 86, aided by Mike Taylor (68) in an eighth-wicket stand of 166, while the reliable Richard Wilkinson took 6-52.
Alderley replied with 233-8 after being 150-6, with thanks due to skipper Ed Fluck (50) and Tom Foreman (36).
Edge visit ninth-place Bramhall on Saturday.
