LINDOW lost by one wicket at home to a Northwich side whose all-rounder James Plant was in full bloom.
Lindow were all out for 141 in 49 overs, with Alex Matthews, 36, and Charlie Williams, 30, the leading run makers.
Plant's performance of 5-31 for Northwich bettered any other figures in the league on the day, while Andrew Dufty also took three wickets.
Northwich reached 145-9 in 48 overs, with Matthew Dufty, 47, and Plant, 39, laid the platform for the visitors' victory.
Lindow, who have dropped to sixth in the Cheshire County Cricket League ladder in recent times, visit basement side Bredbury St Marks this weekend.
