ALAN Edwards and Alisha Marshall celebrated a thrilling victory in the Knutsford Friday League’s Mixed Pairs final, coming from behind to win 21-20.
The Victory Hall duo had trailed initially to Jack Bushell and Mary Owen, from host club Mere, before recovering to take the title for a second successive season following a nail-biting finish.
Edwards and Marshall had ended the run of Phil and Jane Whitehead (Church Inn) in the semi-finals, while Alan and Kath Perks (Cranford) fell to Bushell and Owen.
