WILMSLOW Golf Club were excellent hosts for a Corporate Golf Day which supported the charities of their Captain Pep Smith and Lady Captain Elizabeth Black.
The teams of four received a warm welcome at the club and enjoyed 18 holes of fantastic golf on the picturesque and challenging golf course although they had to avoid some heavy rain showers.
The charities they were supportng included the Stroke Association and the East Cheshire Hospice and both Pep and Elizabeth were delighted with the contributions made on the day which raised over £3,000.
The teams were mainly from Manchester and Cheshire but there were also entrants who travelled from London to take part.
Royles of Wilmslow displayed a collection of their fantastic cars and there were also tee sponsors including Leaders, Premier Group, Hill Dickinson, DWF Law, OnPoint Development and BASF.
Among the prizes were Robinson’s ‘win your weight in beer’ for the longest drive and dining prizes from local restaurants including Piccolinos, The Botanist, The Bubble Room, Oddfellows on the Park and The Alchemist.
The winning team were Calder Peel Architects who each won £100 vouchers for the Wilmlsow Pro Shop.
