A WIDOW from Wilmslow has been left feeling ‘very upset’ after a group of ‘heartless’ thieves stole a bench that was dedicated to her late husband.
The Java Teak bench, with a large carving of an American Eagle, was stolen sometime between 11am and 3.30pm on Friday, July 27, from an address in Simpson Street.
PC Steph Darbyshire said: “The bench has great sentimental value to the owner who bought it in memory of her late husband and she is very upset that heartless thieves have stolen the bench.
“As it is such a unique piece of garden furniture, we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the theft, been offered the piece for sale or anyone who has seen it to get in touch.”
Anyone with information should get in touch with Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 144469.
