CHAMPAGNE corks popped to launch a stylish new business, inspired by Milan, in Knutsford.

TV celebrity Kim Woodburn opened Milania Boutique on King Street.

Lisa Davy welcomed business owners from across the town centre as she unveiled her shop at a VIP celebration on Friday.

“It was lovely,” said the Northwich mum-of-two, who has taken on two members of staff and hopes to recruit a Saturday assistant soon.

“A really amazing evening, people didn’t leave until almost 11pm, they enjoyed it so much.

“I’ve known Kim for a while and thought it would be lovely to bring her into Knutsford.”

TV celebrity Kim presented the Channel 4 series ‘How Clean Is Your House’ with Aggie MacKenzie.

The writer also appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.

Opening the business has been a dream come true for 43-year-old Lisa.

“It means the absolute world to me after years of thinking about the idea,” she said.

“It is going really well. I have had some great feedback.

“People say it is a refreshing change and that I have got a good eye for buying.

“Milan fashion is known for bold, bright colours.

“We’ve also got some lovely brands, exclusive to the store. There has been a great interest in them.”

Husband Chris and children Marcello and Sophia joined guests for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Lisa said she has been made very welcome in the town by local businesses and customers.

“I’ve always liked Knutsford,” said Lisa.
