A NURSERY boss went back to school to experience how staff are trained to look after children.

Clare Roberts, chief executive officer of Kids Planet, stepped into the shoes of an apprentice.

She was treated as an apprentice on their first day in the job when she visited Kids Allowed Knutsford.

Clare undertook a full induction and was given a guided tour of the purpose built nursery on Mobberley Road.

She completed a training programme with a tutor, including risk assessments.

Clare donned a Kids Planet practitioner uniform as she spent time with children whilst they were playing and eating meals.

The exercise was mounted at the Kids Planet Training Academy on the site of the Knutsford nursery as part of National Apprentice Week.

A spokesman for Kids Planet said: “Clare took the chance to hit the ground running as another team member within the nursery setting.

“She was able to have a one-on-one session with tutor Nathalie Glaze and refresh her knowledge.”
