ALICE in Wonderland characters added a touch of magic to this year’s Knutsford Bunny Hop.

More families than ever before joined the fun-filled Easter celebration.

Children searched for 10 cardboard bunnies hidden outside local shops and hospitality businesses.

A life-sized Easter bunny was joined by favourite characters from Lewis Carroll’s fairytale.

Julia Chard, owner of Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe, said: “Wow, what an amazing Bunny Hop, the busiest year ever.

“Some fabulous Easter bonnets too. We hope all those taking part enjoyed their sweetie treats.”

Knutsford mayor Cllr Peter Coan judged an Easter bonnet competition and awarded prizes to the top three entries.

Ophelia Fry was the winner and Evelina Fry and Frankie Thomson-Woolley were runners-up.

A colouring competition was held in the market hall.

Chocolates and freebies were handed out by local retailers throughout the event.

Alex Molloy, events manager at Knutsford Town Council, said: “The sun joined us for a brilliant day.

“It’s great to be able to bring this event to the town year on year.

“It’s a chance for the smaller ones to get involved and explore their town whilst having a great time with their families.
