ONE youth was arrested and a dispersal order put in place after a disturbance in Wilmslow last night, Saturday.

Police were called after a large group of 40 to 50 young people gathered at a property on Bulkeley Road in Handforth at around 8.30pm.

A dispersal order was put in place for Handforth, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge and remains in place.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and found there were between 40 and 50 teenagers at the address who were causing alarm and distress in the local area.

"All of the youths were asked to leave the property and a dispersal order was put in place in the local area requiring all of the youths to leave the area."

PCSO Gareth Harding posted on social media: “A large group of 40-40 young people gathered at a property in Handforth.

“This resulted in one young person being arrested for criminal damage to a police vehicle.

“A dispersal order was put in place for the Handforth, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge area and remains in place.”
