A LUXURY housebuilder from Wilmslow has been named as a finalist in a prestigious north west awards ceremony that celebrates ‘excellence’.

Henderson Homes, the property development company owned by Wilmslow businessman Max Henderson, has been shortlisted for ‘Best Local Builder’ in the 2016 North West Regional LABC Building Excellence Awards.

Henderson Homes was established more than 60 years ago and is a third generation family business.

Originally building across the Merseyside area, under Max’s stewardship the business has expanded to include south Manchester and Cheshire and offers a wider range of homes for buyers at all stages of the property ladder, from first time buyers to original, one-off developments.

In the last 12 months, the company has completed high quality developments on Manchester Road, Fletsand Road and Daveylands in Wilmslow, on Macclesfield Road in Alderley Edge and on Brookside Close in Cheadle; all of which have been sold off plan.

Max said: “It’s an honour to be considered for this award and we’re grateful to the LABC for recognising our commitment to only providing homes of the highest standard for our customers.

“It’s been a fantastic year for us. We’re delighted to have sold all of our schemes before build was complete. The industry has not seen sales like this for a long time. Of course we’re hoping for similar success on our schemes in Bollington and Goostrey."

The north west winner will be announced at a glamorous black tie awards dinner held at The Macron Stadium in Bolton on the April 15.

They will then progress through to the LABC Grand Finals staged in London in November to complete against other regional winners.
